Reviews and Ratings
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, but the noisy extractor fan in the bathroom was a bit bothersome. The service was friendly and helpful, although the owners seemed a bit distant. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by bars and restaurants. The dining experience was exceptional with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options. Overall, a great find in the heart of the city.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were divided between a very old and a very new section, with the newer part lacking the charm of the older one. It was surprising not to have a kettle in the room, but the presence of a shower, hot tub, and separate WC was a nice touch.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. While the intriguing mix of very old and very new architecture was fascinating, my room was rather small, located up in the eaves and uncomfortably hot. The service was impeccable with a very friendly and helpful staff, especially when our GPS got us lost. The location, just outside of Rochefort center, was convenient, but my room on level -1 lacked natural sunlight. The dining experience was excellent with a high-quality breakfast spread. However, I did hit my head on several low spots in the room, and the smaller room I initially had booked was not ready on time.
Staying in the rooms at the back of the hotel was a wonderful experience after a day exploring the area. The rooms in the adjacent building are stylishly decorated, offering a cozy atmosphere. The service provided, especially by the mother of the owners, was really friendly and helpful, even going the extra mile to book a taxi to Brussels airport for me with a discount. However, the lack of in-room coffee or tea facilities was a downside. The location above a spa bath with no shower curtain was fantastic, with bars and restaurants nearby. The dining experience, from the room to reception/breakfast, offered a buffet style with a lot of variation and great quality options, although at an extra cost. The facilities were satisfying, complementing the overall stay.
